“Like looking up into the night sky, I want this above my bed”.
“It was like being inside a garden where I could compose my perfect view”.
Melt2 uses the simple theatrical effect of the voile to create changing layers of opacity. The viewer walks through the fading structure, like standing inside the layers of a drawing as simple geometries open and close around them. Melt2 was developed as part of the series Melt, Splinter and Thread over a two year studio practice and research period with the assistance of Dave Everit, Artist Programmer Sean Clark and Dr Graeme Stuart. Funded by Arts Council England, supported by the ICOT at De Montfort University.
