The façade of the British Council headquarters in Berlin was transformed by a video installation artwork during the night for one week in May 2002. 'Supple Solid' imagined a journey through the skin of the building from the meshes of the outer layers into the empty spaces and air between materials. The multimedia artist Esther Rolinson created the installation by digitally manipulating a film of everyday objects constructed in collaboration with the filmmaker and editor Abigail Norris.
